Dental Implants — The Gold Standard for Missing Teeth

Permanent tooth replacement that looks, feels, and functions like your natural teeth. 95% success rate at 10 years.

What You Need to Know

A dental implant is a titanium post placed into your jawbone that acts as an artificial tooth root. Once it integrates with the bone, a custom crown is attached on top. The result is a replacement tooth that’s as close to the real thing as modern dentistry can achieve.

Why Patients Choose Us

Permanent Solution

Unlike dentures, implants are fixed in place. They don’t slip, don’t need adhesive, and don’t come out at night. Once they’re in, they’re part of you.

Preserves Bone

When you lose a tooth, the jawbone beneath it starts to shrink. An implant stimulates the bone just like a natural root, preventing bone loss and facial changes.

95% Success Rate

Dental implants have one of the highest success rates of any surgical procedure. At 10 years, 95% of implants are still functioning perfectly.

In-House from Start to Finish

Dr Pham handles the entire implant process — consultation, 3D planning, surgical placement, and final crown — right here in our practice.

3D-Planned Placement

We use CBCT imaging to plan the exact position, angle, and depth of every implant. Precise planning means predictable results and faster healing.

No Damage to Other Teeth

Unlike a bridge, an implant doesn’t require grinding down healthy neighbouring teeth. It stands on its own.

Common Questions About Dental Implants

What is a dental implant?

A dental implant is a small titanium post that’s placed into the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. Once healed, a custom crown is attached on top — it looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth.

How long do dental implants last?

With proper care, dental implants can last a lifetime. The crown on top may need replacing after 10-15 years due to normal wear, but the implant itself is designed to be permanent.

Is the implant procedure painful?

Most patients are surprised by how comfortable it is. We use local anaesthetic and sedation options. Many patients say it was less painful than having a tooth extracted. Post-operative discomfort is usually managed with standard pain relief.

How long does the whole process take?

From implant placement to final crown, the process typically takes 3-6 months. Most of that time is healing — the actual appointments are relatively quick. In some cases, same-day implants are possible.

Am I too old for dental implants?

There’s no upper age limit. As long as you’re in reasonable health and have adequate bone, implants can work well at any age. We’ve placed implants for patients in their 80s.

What if I don’t have enough bone?

We can often build up bone using grafting techniques before or during implant placement. Dr Pham is experienced in bone grafting procedures, so most patients can still receive implants.

How much do dental implants cost?

A single implant with crown typically ranges from $4,500 to $6,500. This includes the titanium implant, abutment, and custom porcelain crown. Bone grafting, if needed, adds $500-$2,000. Payment plans are available, and some health funds contribute towards the cost.

Can implants replace multiple teeth?

Yes — implants can support individual crowns, bridges, or even full-arch dentures. For a full set of teeth, as few as 4-6 implants can support an entire arch (All-on-4 concept).

What’s the success rate of dental implants?

Dental implants have a success rate of 95-98% at 10 years post-placement when done by an experienced clinician. Dr Pham uses 3D CBCT imaging and computer-guided planning for precise placement, which further improves outcomes.

How do I care for dental implants?

Care for implants just like natural teeth — brush twice daily, floss around the implant, and keep up with regular dental check-ups. They can’t get cavities, but the gum around them still needs to stay healthy.
